The basic bullet points
Wyrra Watersedge
The Limsan Fishermans' Guild's roaming angler.
Wherever the winds and waters may take her.
Name: Wyrra Watersedge (she chose it herself! Don't ask. Unless she's drunk.)
Age: 30, near enough on the dot.
Race/Gender: Transfemme Wildwood Elezen (she/her)
Home: Nominally, the Mists near Limsa... but generally, wherever work takes her.
Sexuality: Lesbian
Noticable appearance traits: Her right eye, while mostly blue like her left, has traces of red on the outside edge. Similarly, streaks of white flow through her hair near the ends.
Likes: Beautiful views, good drink, and good company. Revelry and good-natured mischief. People with a good heart and the scars to show for it.
Dislikes: The self-serious, the gloomy and the defeatist. People who won't stay for at least one good drink. Pretentiousness and, indeed, pretense.

"What, ya thought a Limsan gal'd let a lil water get in 'er way?
Ya oughta see the bridge I 'ad ta cross ta get here."
Wyrra is proudly Limsan, proudly a member of their Fishermen's Guild, and proud to uphold everything that her homeland stands for... which is why you'll barely ever see her there. Her life is one spent travelling to wherever the sea breeze takes her - a free spirit who quickly proved herself to be of perfectly solid (though by no means exceptional) competence, and an absolute abhorrence of ending up in the same place for too long. As such, she quickly found herself as someone more than happy to take on the jobs that others balked at - that take them too far from home, to climbs too uninhabitable or too inhospitable, and, frankly, the ones that seemed to be grasping at straws. For Wyrra, beating her head against the cold, hard walls of improbability and finding the hitherto unthought of on the other side is one of life's greatest pleasures.Ever the optimist, her outlook is one of wondrous mirth at all the things life has to offer - the bad days and the good both being, as she sees it, inevitable little threads on the varied tapestry of life. She is someone who refuses to accept pessimism, refuses to let others sink into the cold comfort of accepting their worst fears and doubts as inevitable, and refuses outright to leave people in a worse state than she found them. That her work takes her to so many varied places, to meet so many people and experience so much is very much the source of her joie de vivre, and it's rare that unfamiliar customs or behaviors will phase her.The average job the Fishermen's Guild gets is your simple fare that any fisher is more than happy to handle - catching the haddock that gets served at the Bismarck, securing the salmon for Gegeruju's latest extravagant feast, securing the small fry that get turned into the bait balls used in such tasks. Simple, consistent work that puts food on the table and doesn't leave you wondering if you're going to get eaten by some kind of horrific monster in rarely ventured climbs to get it done. And that's... fine. She's done her time in those metaphorical mines, proven herself through tolerably average work done through gritted teeth. Love your job and you'll never work a day in your life? Hah! That must explain why everyone around her at the Guild was so miserable in those days after the Calamity. She found her calling though when the more... esoteric work started coming her way. The ones prefixed, at first, with "Now, I appreciate this is different from your usual fare", and later with "Don't feel under any pressure to accept this, but..."s. Soon enough, the prefixes became unnecessary, and her niche had been firmly set - the person who would happily chase the dead ends, who would go to the extravagant lengths, who would venture to the ends of Eorzea simply to say she had seen the ends of Eorzea today. When ecologists wanted to know if a fish that had not been seen for years was extinct, she was the one who would happily take that up. When someone wanted a fish brought back from the far ends of Dravania, she was the one willing to make the trek. When new techniques, new bait needed testing - that may end up in her returning home with little more than a smile and a disproven theory, she was happy to do it. Such did the hat-clad figure, rod and box in hand, crawling across the inhospitable landscapes start to become a irregular presence across the continent - and if you have a task that you're not sure anyone else would bother to deign to see done, well... it's always worth asking the Fishermen's Guild, isn't it?

"Stoppin' to smell the flowers wasn't my thing, ya know?
Amazin' how things change when ya figure yerself out proper."
Wyrra had a rather dramatic young life before ending up in the stable - if ever-moving - one she has now. She spent some time as a refugee outside Ul'dah, and as a street urchin in Limsa. Some say they've seen her talking like old friends with Carvallain of the Kraken's Arms...?
Any habit she may have of sometimes twirling around her fishing rod like a rifle and holding the grip with what appears to be gun safety techniques are clearly unrelated to this.
While Wyrra is cis-passing - though rather tall, it must be said - she trans'd her gender using what would politely be described as knockoff Fantasia.
The whites at the tip of her hair, and the slight red remaining in her right eye,
are leftovers of her 'natural' color from before her transition. She's an absolutely terrible singer and refuses to do it in polite company. Unfortunately for those around her, she's usually in very raucous company.
Help them. Her decorum, form and posture when doing things can vary wildly depending on when in her life she picked them up. She has the table manners of a refined lady and drinking manners that'd make a Limsan pirate feel outdone.

Hi! I'm Lexi and thanks for checking out my character's carrd!
I am somewhat new to both this scene and making these,
so if anything seems off at all or you have suggestions, please do let me know! When it comes to RP, I'm looking mostly for simple, slice-of-life, two people in the same place at the same time bouncing off each other kind of scenes. Heavier themes are something I'd like to diversify into once I've more found my feet with roleplaying, and the character is ill-suited to grandiose, WoL-level interactions.I treat FF14 as a game first and an RP space second, but I am usually always happy to drop what I'm doing to RP with folks when out in the world! Similarly, I'm always down for just playing with friends and helping out with things they need to do. Just ask! Spending time with good people is what this is all about for me, ya know?My only rules when it comes to things are: don't be weird, and don't be a jerk.
This should always be something that's fun for both parties, and mutual consent and respect always has to be the number one priority in any roleplaying relationship. What is best for our characters and the play should always play second fiddle to what is best for us as people.Gay gay homosexual gayOkay I think that covers everything. Thanks for reading! 💖
